Understanding Directory Protection
Visitors must enter a username and password before the web server serves files from the protected folder.
Protecting a folder
- Open File Management → Directory protection.
- Choose the folder to protect (for example a staging site).
- Create a username/password for HTTP authentication.
- Test in a private browser window.
