Cloud & Data Center Operations
Operate public cloud and Indian Government Cloud with the same operational discipline
Hybrid environments need clear ownership — whether workloads run on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, your colocation floor, or Indian Government Cloud platforms such as MeghRaj (GI Cloud), NICSI Cloud, National Government Cloud (NGC), and Protean Cloud. Government clouds follow a different security model: direct internet access is typically restricted, so servers, updates, and data protection must be designed for controlled, air-gapped-style estates.

What modern cloud & data center operations cover
Cloud is not “set and forget.” Production estates need patching, identity and access controls, backup and recovery drills, firewall and network policy, observability, and a cost plan that matches how teams actually consume compute and storage.
IT Monteur provides high-level operations for cloud servers and data center assets — from landing-zone hygiene and cloud firewall security to colocation management, hybrid connectivity, and Indian Government Cloud estates where security policy limits outbound internet. As a partner to Indian government organizations, we know how to harden, patch, and operate servers without open internet access while keeping government data auditable and protected.
Platforms we operate
One operating playbook across major public clouds and Indian Government Cloud platforms — with security and cost controls built into daily work.
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
EC2 for compute, RDS Multi-AZ for database failover, snapshots for backup, VPC networking, and security groups / WAF — operated as a production-ready AWS cloud estate.
Microsoft Azure
Azure Virtual Machines for compute, SQL Database with failover, Azure Backup / snapshots, Virtual Network, and Azure Firewall / NSG security for managed cloud operations.
Google Cloud
Compute Engine for workloads, Cloud SQL high availability for database failover, snapshots for backup, VPC networking, and Cloud Armor / firewall security.
Indian Government Cloud
Operations expertise for MeghRaj / GI Cloud, NICSI Cloud, National Government Cloud (NGC), and Protean Cloud — designed for estates where direct internet is restricted for security. Different skill set from AWS / Azure / Google Cloud: offline patching paths, controlled connectivity, and government-grade data protection.
Cloud firewall & security
Edge and cloud-native firewall policy, segmentation, VPN / private connectivity, and continuous review so public cloud and Government Cloud stay aligned with your security baseline.
Data center & colocation
Physical asset management, rack and power discipline, remote hands coordination, and documentation so colo and private racks remain part of the same ops picture as the cloud.
Cost optimization & scaling
Right-size instances, schedule non-production estates, track spend by environment, and scale capacity when demand rises — without surprise invoices.
Indian Government Cloud — a different security model
General public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) assumes open internet pathways for updates, marketplace images, and managed services. Indian Government Cloud platforms are built for sovereignty and controlled exposure — often with no direct internet access to compute instances.
Working on these platforms requires a different skill set: provisioning and hardening servers without outbound internet, staging OS and application updates through approved channels, designing backup and monitoring inside the trusted network, and protecting government data under stricter change-control and audit expectations.
IT Monteur supports government and public-sector estates on platforms including:
- MeghRaj / GI Cloud — cloud.gov.in
- NICSI Cloud — cloud.nicsi.nic.in
- National Government Cloud (NGC) — ngc.gov.in
- Protean Cloud Services — proteantech.in
Because we work with Indian government organizations, our teams already operate to the constraints these clouds impose — secure setup, restricted connectivity, and continuous protection of sensitive government workloads.
Hybrid & multi-cloud administration
Most enterprises and government programs already mix on-prem, colocation, public cloud, and Government Cloud. We administer the whole estate as one operating model.
| Capability | What you get | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud server management | Patching, hardening, uptime checks, and runbooks for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Government Cloud | Fewer outages and cleaner audits |
| Government Cloud (restricted internet) | Server build and operations without direct internet, approved update paths, and government-data safeguards | Meets MeghRaj / NICSI / NGC / Protean security expectations |
| Hybrid / multi-cloud admin | Consistent identity, connectivity, and change control across providers | No “shadow IT” between clouds |
| Cost optimization | Rightsizing, schedules, tagging, and spend reviews | Predictable cloud bills |
| Cloud firewall security | Policy design, reviews, and secure edge for cloud workloads | Exposure stays controlled as you scale |
| Colocation management | Asset inventory, rack discipline, vendor coordination | Physical and cloud ops stay aligned |
How we operate
- 1Assess — accounts, subscriptions, Government Cloud tenancy, colo assets, and risk gaps
- 2Secure — IAM, firewall, backup, and connectivity baselines (including no-direct-internet estates)
- 3Stabilize — monitoring, patching, and incident playbooks
- 4Optimize — cost, capacity, and performance reviews
- 5Evolve — scale, migrate, or expand hybrid footprints safely
